Amphenol Pcd is currently seeking an experienced Product Engineer in our Beverly, MA location.

As our Product Engineer, you will assume product maintenance responsibilities for existing legacy products as well as design of new products!

Essential Functions
• Understanding all Mil-Spec, customer or regulatory product requirements
• Lead Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering when troubleshooting defective product
• Create new connector designs as directed by Marketing or Engineering Manager
• Lead existing connector cost reduction efforts through automation or other improvements
• Develop Qualification and Acceptance Test Procedures for new products as directed by customer or internally driven

Required Skills/Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of Product Design process from inception through manufacturing
• Understanding of plastic insulator materials including electrical and mechanical properties
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Able to effectively present product proposals to potential customers
• 0-2 years related experience

Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering

Desired Skills/Qualifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Proficient with Creo (Pro E)
• Able to manage major product development programs
• FMEA, 8D Corrective Action, Troubleshooting skills
