Amphenol Pcd (APcd) is in search of an experienced Quality Engineer for our Beverly, MA location.

As our Quality Engineer, you will be working directly with our manufacturing and quality team, as well as suppliers/customers to improve product quality through the development and improvement of the Quality Management System. Additional responsibilities will be to support activities in order to meet customer and regulatory agency requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for assisting in the development, utilization, and improvement of methods related to acquisition and tracking of critical quality information
  • Develop and maintain a system to report on Amphenol PCD's Cost of Quality, helping to drive improvements in areas directly related to manufacturing loses such as Scrap, Rework and Customer Returns.
  • Monitor, escalate and drive to closure all opens CAPAs, DMRs and SCARS.
  • Develop and drive Amphenol PCD's Internal Audit Program.
  • Develop and maintain a system to monitor and report quality trends from hard data regarding RMAs, internally and externally generated CAPAs, DMRs and SCARS issues

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with Quality Management systems; particularly ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Minimum of intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Excel/PowerPoint/Visio/Word/Outlook, and Minitab.
  • Must be a well-organized, motivated self-starter.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of SPC, process capability analysis, metrology/calibration, FAI, Gage R & R, specification interpretation.
  • Prior quality experience dealing with customer complaints and corrective actions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and succinctly present data and information.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt          
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
  • Seven Quality Tools, DOE,

Years' Experience:

  • 3-5 Years of experienc in a QE role

Required Education:

  • BS/BA Technical Degree; desired – Mechanical or Industrial Engineering focus
